Take your skills on the road in this unique driving position that is integral in supporting our mission! You will drive a large box truck (no CDL needed) to various Sunrise locations in Douglas County, picking up and delivering donated items and other product. Direct Support Professional training will be provided as you will supervise a Driver Assistant in our Job Training program for adults with disabilities. Full-time hours may include occasional evenings and weekends.
The qualified candidate will have experience driving a 16- to 20-foot delivery truck. Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities is awesome but not required. Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts is a big plus. Must be physically able to load and unload trucks, including occasional lifting up to 60 pounds. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification. Must have Oregon driver license and be insurable by our insurance company. Must have desire to work with people with disabilities. Must be able to pass criminal history check and drug screen, including negative for all marijuana products due to federal contracts.
